ValueCapper uses many shorthand abbreviations, particularly in the Summary Grid. The following list defines these abbreviations.

Indicators at the top of the screen

  • Red (Caution)
  • SHORT

  • First Time Turf

VIP Value Investment Potential

  • VIP Blue: A VIP Horse in the Blue Shaded Odds (top cluster of ValueCapper Odds Line)

Value Advisor

  • Proceed (Green)
  • Proceed With Care (Yellow)
  • Proceed With Great Care (Dark Yellow)
  • Consider Passing (Red)
  • First Tier: In top cluster with no Anti Value

VCP

  • ValueCapper Price: A guide to how MUCH of an overlay to get based on the horse’s position on the line, extras, Anti Value, etc.

  • Tote: Tote Odds Either After Results Charts Are Imported, Manually Added, or Automatically Fetched if an active Wizards' Membership subscriber.

  • Target: Best MP rating from all the horse’s last race, provided the horse has run close to it before

  • ML Favorite (Major negatives noted)

The 5x5 Detail Column

  • AFP: Advanced Form Pattern Major (Type 1, 2, 3)
  • afp: Advanced Form Pattern Minor (SGAL, NOLO)
  • VTR: Good ValueTech Ratio (ValueCapper Odds lower than Contention Line)
  • RP: Reversal Protocol
  • 3SL: 3rd Start Layoff
  • Fulcrum: Fulcrum

The Anti Value Column

  • PRF: Poor Recent Form
  • PLR in red: Poor Last Race on a potentially short-priced horse
  • -drop: Negative Drop
  • -drop in red: Negative Drop on a potentially short-priced horse
  • MW?: Maiden Winner that might not be dropping enough in class
  • L/O: Layoff
  • L/O in red: Layoff with no indication in pps of good finish after layoff
  • LLO: Long Layoff
  • HAL: Hard race after layoff
  • HAL in red: Hard race after layoff on a potentially short-priced horse
  • HTOP: Hard race last out running best number in pps.
  • HTOP in red: Hard race last out running best number in pps on a potentially short-priced horse

The "?" Column

  • hard: Hard race last out
  • Vhard: Very hard race last out
  • Vhard in red: Very hard race last out on a potentially short-priced horse
  • #: Software took an old back number much higher than recent races
  • FTS: First Time Starter

The ExP (Exotic Patterns) Column

  • CE: Counter Early (a late horse)
  • CL: Counter Late (an early horse)
  • $: Top Average Purse Value horse
  • RW: Reversal Winner
  • F: Fulcrum
  • Z: Rare horse with big late fraction from internals in a route in a Pressured sprint

The AccuPressureV2 (AccuPressureV2) Column

  • A: On or near the lead 1st or 2nd call
  • A (bold): Large gap in 1st or 2nd call
  • AA: Owns both calls in AccuPressureV2
  • AA (bold): Owns both calls in AccuPressureV2 by a large gap
  • aA: Makes a big move from the 1st call to the 2nd call in AccuPressureV2
  • Ac: Lone AccuPressureV2 closer
  • Ac (bold): Lone AccuPressureV2 closer in a Highly Pressured Race

The OME (One Minute Expert) Column

  • E: Good Primary Pace (second call) rating in recent race
  • EE: Gapped Primary Pace (second call) rating in recent race
  • L: Good Late Fraction rating in recent race
  • LL: Gapped Late Fraction rating in recent race
