Scratchsoft, Inc. is proud to announce that it has purchased Value Tech Inc’s software, data, media content, and other related business assets. The deal is effective immediately.
Existing Value Tech customers will continue on as customers of Scratchsoft1.
Who Is Scratchsoft, Inc.?
Scratchsoft, Inc. is the technology company behind much of the software and data products published by both Value Tech and its predecessor, Post Time Solutions. When Michael Pizzolla designed Post Time Daily™ 2.0, Black Magic: The Ultimate Handicapper™, and ValueCapper™, he turned to Scratchsoft, Inc. to bring his software vision to life. Because of this 18-year partnership, and the deep knowledge of how the software has been designed and written, Scratchsoft is well-positioned to maintain and build upon Michael’s vision for many years to come.
What Will Change?
On a day-to-day basis, very little.
Existing Value Tech staff will carry on in their roles supporting our customers and providing the best in handicapping software and data. In fact, other than the ownership change, the names will all remain the same: ValueCapper™, Black Magic™, and Post Time Daily™ – along with our websites www.posttimedaily.com, valuecapper.com and handicappingwizards.com – will all continue to operate.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As part of the acquisition, all credit card payments will now be submitted through our new payment processor. As such, some card issuers may “flag” or even decline the first charge to your account, as your business relationship with Scratchsoft is new. This is unfortunate but also commonplace when a corporate change like this happens. If your card is declined, we ask that you please reach out to your card issuer and assure them that the transaction is legitimate. Charges made to your account will appear as “PostTimeDaily.com” on your credit card statement.
To contact support, reach out via email to support@posttimedaily.com. You may also post your question from our Contact Us page. This is by far the quickest way to get help, as we monitor it during most waking hours, 7 days a week. Also, please remember that many billing-related inquiries can be managed through the self-service customer account portal.
The existing phone support number, 1-877-RACE-FORM, will continue to operate. However, we are, unfortunately, no longer able to provide full-time phone support. If you leave a brief voicemail message, we will do our best to get back to you ASAP during our office hours of 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Eastern (M-F). Emails to support@posttimedaily.com will almost always get the fastest response, including on weekends.

Can I continue getting my past performances and software?
Yes, absolutely! If you’d like to continue getting the best past performances and software anywhere, Scratchsoft (a.k.a., PostTimeDaily.com) will continue to support you. Scratchsoft, Inc. has arranged through licensing agreements to operate as an officially authorized value-added reseller of Equibase Company LLC.
Where will Scratchsoft, Inc. get its information?
As always, ALL POST TIME DAILY PAST PERFORMANCE INFORMATION IS PROVIDED BY EQUIBASE COMPANY LLC, THE THOROUGHBRED INDUSTRY’S OFFICIAL DATABASE OF RACING INFORMATION, so you can be assured of the best and most accurate thoroughbred information and statistics anywhere.
Can I continue to use my software?
Yes, all your existing Value Tech and Post Time Solutions software will continue to work. Scratchsoft, Inc. will continue to provide technical support for existing software and data services.
Do I need a new account?
NO! If you have an existing Post Time Daily account, you can continue using that account going forward. YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD WILL REMAIN THE SAME. THERE IS NO NEED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES IN YOUR CURRENT ACCOUNT.
Existing subscriptions (e.g., the Premium Unlimited Downloads subscription) will continue uninterrupted during this transition period. You may continue to access your account at https://billing.posttimedaily.com at any time to make any changes.
- Customers may opt out of this transition by submitting a written request, either through email to support@posttimedaily.com, or via letter to Scratchsoft’s physical address (see above). Please note that customers opting out will no longer be eligible for support from either Scratchsoft or Value Tech and that any existing accounts or subscriptions will be subsequently closed. ↩︎

Scratchsoft, Inc. licenses its data from Equibase Company LLC. As part of our agreement with Equibase, we are licensed only to provide data to customers who use that data for their personal use. To comply with that agreement, we require all our customers to agree, before installing our software and using our service, to certain terms and conditions for the use of our service and our data files. That agreement, to which you have already agreed as a customer of Value Tech Inc., continues to be in effect under Scratchsoft, Inc. You may not use the programs or any data you receive from Scratchsoft, Inc. for any commercial use. You may not create derivative works from the software or the data. Such derivative works shall include, but shall not be limited to, copies of the printed output of the software, selections or selection services, odds lines for races, race worksheets, or other derivative products or services offered for sale.
