Hoosier Park Increases Most Purses

Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, citing an increase in pari-mutuel handle, raised most purses effective Sept. 27.
Officials at the Indiana racetrack said purses for non-conditioned claiming races of $10,000 or higher were increased $3,000, while races for $7,500 and above were raised $2,000. Hoosier Park will host its biggest program of the year Oct. 1 when the Indiana Derby and Indiana Oaks (both gr. II) will be run.
