Jockey Michael Baze died of an accidental overdose, deputy Jefferson County coroner Jim Wesley said Friday.

Toxicology results in the autopsy found cocaine and the prescription painkiller oxymorphone, also known as opana, in the rider’s system, Wesley said. He said levels of the drugs would not be released.

The official cause of death is listed as multiple substance intoxication, which Wesley said is an overdose.

Baze, 24, was found dead in his car May 10 on the backside of Churchill Downs.
