Thoroughbred racing economic indicators for May show wagering dropped slightly in the month to $1,159,360,490, down 0.34% compared with the same month last year despite a 2.75% increase in race days to 523. For the year, wagering is up 1.5% to $4,708,541,276 with 1,939 race days in the first five months of both 2011 and 2012.
