Attendance and betting for thoroughbred horse races at Saratoga Race Course have edged out totals from this point in last year’s meet, according to the latest data.
Close to $28 million of bets have been placed at the track through the first quarter of the meet, up 4.5 percent, or $1.2 million, from this point in 2010.
