Dianne Cotter’s homebred Toby’s Corner was withdrawn from consideration for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) after trainer H. Graham Motion described the colt as being “off” in his left behind.

Winner of the Resorts World New York Casino Wood Memorial Stakes (G1) and Whirlaway Stakes at Aqueduct this season, Motion had trained Toby’s Corner at his Fair Hill base in Maryland. He sent the colt to the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center for tests Monday night. Tests did not reveal any injury, but when the colt did not improve by Tuesday, Motion declared him from the Derby.
