A sad day for racing. As an ex-New Yorker, who cut his teeth making bets at OTBs on the Upper East side of Manhattan, it is inconceivable to me that an operation that gets an hefty percentage of the handle could be so inefficiently managed that it has to close. This may be the first time in recorded history that a bookmaking operation that operated with NO RISK went under. Shame on you, New York OTB, shame on you!
