LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Jockey Robby Albarado was bleeding from the face after being thrown from a horse in the post parade before the third race Wednesday at Churchill Downs.
Albarado was taken to Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
“He’s got some facial lacerations, and they’re checking him out further,’’ said Dallas Stewart, who trains the horse, Smoke’n Al.
Albarado is to ride Animal Kingdom in the Kentucky Derby.
